The Four Seasons: Summer
Jeff Soto's oeuvre is informed by his concern for the conflict between humans and nature, and influenced by graffiti culture. It is fitting thus that Soto chose the Four Seasons as his exploration of the "Foursome" theme. His representations of the seasons as creatures suggest that not only do the changing seasons represent the cycles of life and the progression of our culture, but that they have lives and personalities of their own.
Summer is full of fun and excitement, but it's also hot. This is illustrated in the deep fiery colors that symbolize the heat and passion of summer.
